Building The Pond
The most important new element to the garden is the pond. A good deal of thought was given to its positioning. The sensible thing to do would be to put it as far away from the woodland as possible, but because of the awkward shape of the garden this would have meant hiding it from view of the house, also one of its benefits would be to attract wildlife to the garden. So it was decided to place it near to the woods so that access is equally good from there and the house, we will just have to deal with falling leaves as best we can. Work was started in early November 2003.
